UQU, or the University of Quranic Studies, is an Islamic university located in Saudi Arabia. Founded in 2002, it has become one of the leading universities for religious studies and research in the region. The mission of UQU is to promote knowledge and understanding among students from all backgrounds by providing them with a comprehensive education that encompasses both traditional Islamic teachings as well as modern scientific methods. QU was founded by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Saud who wanted to create a place where people could learn about Islam without being influenced by outside sources. It now offers over 50 undergraduate programs across various disciplines including law, engineering, medicine and business administration.
